If your internet is interrupted, you will be automatically switched to 4G, keeping you online. BT 4G Assure works with any mobile company. You will be provided with a BT SIM card which connects to the 4G network.
With BT 4G Assure, you can get connected before your broadband is fully fitted. If you’re moving premises, you can get connected with 4G Assure until your BT broadband is up and running.
Your BT business broadband charges will depend on the package you choose and how you pay for your broadband and receive bills.
Your connection charges will also vary depending on the work required to install your broadband connection.
Here, you can find some of the charges you may face when switching to BT business broadband.
- Connection charges – this covers the cost of your new line installation, relocating lines and sockets, taking over the lines of another provider, and any reconnection costs.
- Excess construction charges – this could include laying extra cabling, drilling through walls, or any underground work required.
- Repair charges – you are unlikely to face repair charges unless you have a call out with no fault to fix, faults on non-BT equipment, or faults due to the removal of BT equipment.
- Equipment delivery fees - £9.95 hub delivery fee to be included on your first bill.
- Paper billing – if you request paper billing you will be charged £4 for summary bills and £8 for itemised bills.
- Late payment charges – the cost will be dependent on how much you owe. This can vary from £40 to £100.
- Reconnection charges – this is usually charged at £15 for outgoing calls and £25 for outgoing and incoming calls.

What is BT Cloud Voice Express?
Cloud Voice Express is the digital business phone line offered by BT to its broadband customers. This is a great solution for businesses that may need a VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) system.
A digital phone line such as Cloud Voice Express allows your business to avoid disruption when the PSTN network is switched off in December 2025.
After the switch off, traditional landlines will no longer be operational. This means that businesses that haven’t yet switched will need to move to a digital phone line before the switch off.
Cloud Voice Express allows you to stay connected on the go. You can make and receive calls on your business number wherever you are. If you can’t take a call, you can use the Cloud Voice Express app to divert it to another member of your team.
