A Day in the Life at Love Energy Savings...
Holly Lewis - Energy Expert (Account manager)
My day starts at 8:30 and straight away I’m at my desk and check my emails to see if any of my clients have any issues that need solving ASAP. At 9am we have a team meeting with our manager where he outlines the priorities for the day and any updates we need to be aware of before hitting the phone. The rest of my day is spent making sure our customers are happy before my day finishes at 5.30pm.
About you and your team…
What are you responsible for?
I’m the main point of contact for around 2,600 customers, answering any queries they may have and making sure I secure them a great deal on their business energy year-after-year.
Because I’m responsible for making sure the service every one of my customers receives is first class, reminding them when their energy contract is up for renewal and securing them a cheaper deal if one is available, is my top priority.
What do you LOVE about working at Love Energy Savings?
I love the atmosphere here; my colleagues are fantastic and there’s a lot of flexibility when it comes work/life balance. It doesn’t sound like much but I also love having weekends off and the sociable working hours, it’s rare you find that in a contact centre set-up.
Tell us about your career journey since starting at Love Energy Savings
I started working for Love Energy Savings when I was around 16/17 years old. For my first few months I worked on the Lead Generation team, letting business owners know that their contract was due for renewal and offering them the chance to compare prices and find a cheaper deal for their business electricity and gas.
I then took a 12-month sabbatical to finish college studies before coming back to my previous role for a further two months. This gave me the opportunity to develop and progress, moving to the retentions team as the energy consultant in charge of keeping our existing customers happy. For the last year and a half, I’ve taken another step up to become an Account Manager. The flexibility and progression opportunities I have experienced here have been amazing, I can’t wait to see what the next 12 months have in store.
When not working, what can you be found doing?
I’m about as busy out of work as I am in work! I love socialising with my friends, be it over a drink or grabbing some food. I love Thai boxing and can usually be found training or at my local gym. I also love relaxing with my family and boyfriend, everybody needs some down time!
